Bring your child’s imagination to life

Who we are

Welcome to Messy Fun

At Messy Fun we are enthusiastic about promoting the importance of child-led play, so we provide a space that encourages that development through messy play.
We have a purpose-built space which allows us to create an environment that encourages your child to fully immerse themselves in messy play. We don’t limit creativity at Messy Fun, your child’s exploration and imagination is spread throughout the building. And the best part is, we do all the clean up.
We are open seven days a week and from the moment you step inside the building your child’s imagination and creativity will be fostered and their learning encouraged in a safe warm and friendly
environment.

Who we are

What is Messy Play?

Messy play is an exceptionally beneficial activity for children as it stimulates their senses and offers them a multitude of opportunities to explore several sensory experiences. With prepared solutions like finger paint, slime, and other sensory inviting objects, children can engage in exciting experiments with various textures and materials.

More importantly, infants and young toddlers heavily rely on messy play to develop essential skills like eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills.

Early childhood education experts aptly point out that play is the child’s work and it holds especially true for infants and toddlers. Therefore, allowing them to engage in messy play allows them to learn valuable aspects of problem-solving, creativity, and self-expression in a fun manner.

Who we are

Who is it suitible for ?

At Messy Fun we tailor the stations to suit children from 9 months to 6 years of age. Something we have learned very early on is that no two children are the same, so we encourage children to immerse themselves in the experience as they wish and at their own pace. This age bracket is just a guide, and all children are welcome.
All our classes are fully inclusive, we do not split the classes depending on age, we run an open child- led play class and all the children play independently, parallel to others or cooperatively with each other.
Research shows that playing with older children enhances cognitive, language and motor development because younger children are able to observe and imitate the older children, and we see this a lot at Messy Fun.
The older children therefore feel a sense of achievement, as they are given the opportunity to take on a leadership role.

Cannot recommend this place enough! We had our son’s 4th birthday party here - super hero themed & glow in the dark room! We had a wide variety of ages as my youngest is 8 months old so they were able to accommodate all the kids - with a soft corner & tray for the younger ones to a whole super hero room & the glow in the dark room was a huge hit especially with the older children! The ladies Sarah, Jessica & Barbara were so lovely to work with - no question was too silly & all requests were given! We will definitely be back for my daughter’s birthday- thanks so much ladies for making Parker’s super hero birthday so special xxx

This is our second year having my daughter’s birthday party at MessyFun! This year, for her 4th birthday she requested Disney princesses! They couldn’t have done any better for us! The children had an absolute ball at all the different stations and in the wet room at the paint and water play! They adored the bubbles at the end! They didn’t want the party to end and could’ve played for at least another hour, they were so happy! They loved the area to have their food and treats afterwards and I loved how we had free rein to set it up as we needed! My daughter said it was the best party ever! My son who is 6.5 said he wishes he could have a MessyFun party when he is 7 as everyone was so happy! Thank you so much to Sarah, Jessica and Barbara for making the day so special for Alannah and her friends! Can’t recommend MessyFun enough!

Great place for lil-ones to hang out, play, socialise, and get creative or messy. The only concern is the very cold floor. During the winter months, we will stay away.

Sarah put on an incredible event for Sky Ireland. Over 50 of our staff brought their children to Messy Fun for a Halloween experience. It was clear that a huge effort was put into the activities on the day and feedback has been resoundingly positive. We’ll definitely be back.

An absolutely fantastic way to spend 90 minutes of messy fun filled okay in a great location, even with some limited parking. We went to the Halloween play session and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend it. Lots of different messy stations and even a glow in the dark room. All the staff were amazing and engaged with the kids and lots of entertainment (not that much was needed)Even a glow in the dark painting room where nowhere seemed to be off limits to paint. Will definitely be coming back.Top tio, bring spare clothes (especially for the big kids) as you are bound to get messy, very messy.Looking for to coming back again

We celebrated my daughter’s 4th birthday at Messy Fun and the kids had a blast. Sarah is very accommodating to any bespoke requests we came up with and did an amazing job fulfilling them. The icing on the cake was the glow in the dark room which all the children and adults enjoyed. Highly recommend the place for birthdays or even just casual visits.

We did our daughter’s party ( one year old ) at Messy Fun. Kids had an absolutely best time, they were delighted with everything. We invite a variety of kids age, like between 1 and 6 years and everyone enjoyed it.Sarah the new owner was so lovely and very helpful with me helping to set up birthday table. What made the choose messy fun was 2 things: 1. Kids can play free and enjoy for one hour . 2. We could brought our food; based in my daughters age.We brought cake/food and drink and did some decorations. Everything based on my daughters age, só picnic style.Well recommend the place, for birthday and for class.Julia Bonetti

We had a fourth birthday party here this weekend. This is our third birthday party here and it just gets better and better each year.Sarah kindly tailored the party to ensure that our son has the most amazing time. We had the glow in the dark room which even the adults were wowed by.The party was fun, original and most importantly engaging. I have had so many lovely compliments from the parents of our other guests. Every single child from 9 months to 5 years loved it.Sarah in the run up to the party was responsive, kind and really informative. We will definitely be booking again next year.
Great place for kids to celebrate their birthday. One of my son's birthday is in January and we have to have his birthday indoors because it's freezing. This is the perfect place to do so.All kids had an amazing time.So many activities for them to do and play.Bring extra clothes because they will get wet or dirty at the painting area.Downstairs is very simple but you can decorate as you wish. It gets a bit small with all the parents there too but the main area up stairs is great and you can easily have 16 kids there.
